Replacing Removable Drive Icons in Windows XP

Did you buy a Zip drive or a All-In-One card reader and windows xp just shows generic icons? Yeah it happened to me too. The windows shell32 file contains all sorts of icons that are ready to be used, but the system doesn't know how to assign them to the proper drives.

Contained in this zip file are 4 registry files that you can edit to change the icons of your drives

Included are Registry files for
ZIP Drive Icon
Compact Flash Icon
Secure Digital/MMC Icon
Smart Media Icon

Please DO NOT use these files unless you are familiar with the windows registry system, you could seriously damage your system files if you don't know what you are doing. Read the included READ ME.txt file for instructions on how to edit the registry files. To install the files just double click them, AFTER YOU EDIT THEM!!!

Download and use at your own risk
